MahaKumbh is more than just a religious gathering, it is a convergence of human creativity and connection. The 2025 MahaKumbh, happening after 12 years, saw more than 50 crores (500 million) of devotees, cultural travellers, saints, and influencers come together to be a part of the largest spiritual gathering on the planet. More than 3 crore (30 million) people were international tourists who had come to witness this magical affair.
Digital MahKumbh 2025
Let’s just say that this year’s MahaKumbh kept up with the trends. While MahaKumbh has always been about tradition, this year, technology played a crucial role in amplifying the experience. Social media, live streams, and digital documentation brought the event closer to the global audience, making MahaKumbh 2025 a true “Digital MahaKumbh”.
Explurger, being the first Made-In-India social media platform for travellers, was of course at the forefront, in fact, taking center stage (digitally obviously), as you can see here.
