When Creators Met in Purani Dilli: All About the Food Walk

On November 9, we hosted the Purani Dilli Food Walk in collaboration with Delhinama. The goal was simple — to bring creators together in person, explore the city’s food culture, and create an experience that reflects what Explurger stands for: connecting people through real-world moments.

This walk wasn’t about an algorithm, a campaign, or an online trend. It was about stepping outside the screen and rediscovering what social connections can look like when people meet face to face.

Why We Did It

At Explurger, we’ve always believed that social media should inspire people to experience the world, not stay limited to the digital side of it. Our platform is built on travel, culture, and shared discovery— ideas that only hold meaning when people actually go out and explore.

The Purani Dilli Food Walk was a part of our Creator Connect initiative, an ongoing effort to host experiential campaigns where creators, brands, and the community come together. Old Delhi was the perfect backdrop–a place where culture, history, and everyday life overlap.

The idea was to bring creators who usually connect online into one space where they could collaborate, exchange ideas, and experience something authentic. It’s not just about content creation but about forming real connections that translate into better storytelling, you know,  the kind that reflects who they are and where they come from.

What the Walk Was Like

The route was simple but full of character. It included stops like Lotan ke Chole Kulche, Shyam Sweets, Nagori Chai, Jung Bahadur Kachori Wala, and Kuremal’s Mohanlal Kulfi — all long-standing names that represent the city’s culinary history.

The group moved together through crowded streets, filming, chatting with locals, and documenting the experience in their own styles. It wasn’t a formal shoot or a staged campaign,  just creators exploring a neighborhood known for its energy, flavours, and people. Between stops, there were spontaneous conversations, quick bites, and photo moments that captured the informal, community-driven nature of the walk.

Delhinama led the group, sharing short stories about the food and the places behind it — how a recipe evolved, how a stall became a landmark, or how Old Delhi’s markets shaped the way the city eats. The focus stayed on discovery, not direction, giving everyone the freedom to experience the walk at their own pace.

The food walk was supported by a group of brands that fit naturally into the experience. Qua Waters kept everyone hydrated through the morning with a steady supply of alkaline water. Nasher Miles provided lightweight travel gear that made moving through the busy lanes easier for creators. Aggarwal Namkeen added a local touch with Delhi’s favorite snacks. Together, these partnerships helped shape an experience that felt practical, authentic, and well-aligned with the idea of real-world exploration.

Explurger’s team interacted closely with the creators throughout the walk, gathering feedback on what they value most about offline events. The consistent response was that these experiences give meaning to their work. Posting about something they’ve lived and felt, not just seen online, makes their content stronger and their connection with followers more genuine.

Looking Forward

What the Explurger Food Walk Was Like

The Purani Dilli Food Walk is part of a broader effort to make Explurger more than just an app — it’s a community that thrives on discovery. Over the past year, we’ve organized a range of on-ground experiences, including the India Bike Week, the Pushkar Ride, and collaborations with the Surfing Federation of India. Each one is designed to bring like-minded people together in real settings.

For us, the purpose is consistent: to bridge the gap between online sharing and offline exploration. Social media is evolving, and we believe the next phase of growth lies in experiences that encourage people to live what they post.
